My summer holiday diary part 3 - Awesome August

I had a great time during August.  As well as going on days out it was my BIRTHDAY!  I had a fab time.
Our first trip was to LolliBop.  Singing was to be heard in all directions as well as activities to be done.  Stunning shows were everywhere with a huge amount of play equipment.  I met a few people from Horrible Histories, they were really funny.  I enjoyed seeing Sam and Mark doing their Copycats show and meeting them too.  I really liked Titan the Robot’s show.  We also saw Mister Maker and Andy Day (he was really funny and got Dad to go up on stage and do a silly dinosaur dance!)

In Birmingham, we went to a Sea Life Centre.  Swimming in tanks, sea creatures surrounded us.  Gently, fish swam through the clear, sparkling water.  Meanwhile, some darted making small ripples.  I caught sight of lots of different coloured fish swimming around me.  As well as fish there were crabs, sea-horses, hammer-head sharks, penguins, eels and turtles.

Looking around Thinktank museum there were lots of fun things to see as well as a vast selection of activities.  In the outdoor area you can learn and play.  I also enjoyed watching machinery including one that made the hair clips I wear for ballet.

At Carsington Water, big, grey rocks sloped down to the water’s edge.  Calmly ducks and geese floated in the water.  We walked along the stony path that led us to the Visitor Centre.  There was an area with a projected game on the floor.  Me and my brother had a go and found it really fun because of all the jumping we had to do.

On my birthday we went to Alton Towers with Nannie and Grandad.  My mum and I spent about 1 hour queuing up for a 30 second ride but it was still really fun.  Walking up and down paths we saw lots of fun rides.  There was a sea life centre with lots of different coloured fish with creatures that live on the sea bed too.  We also went on a water ride and got soaked!

At Drayton Manor we went to the 4D cinema that showed a fish film, it was really interesting.  There were awesome rides, one of our favourites was the rapids which we went on twice, but the second time a traffic jam formed and we all laughed!  At the zoo there we saw baby meerkats, they looked really soft.

At Mottisfont, interesting wood-made climbing frames sat in a fenced area.  I really enjoyed the trails and taking photos of flowers.  I also liked the exhibition in the old house.

I had a fantastic summer holiday with lots of adventures!
